 Welcome!

An I.D.E.A.S., Inc project at Ohio Eastern Star. An example of innovation in dementia care and design.

Welcome to I.D.E.A.S., Inc. We are a research and consulting group that helps long term care providers-nursing homes, assisted living, retirement communities, home health agencies, the staff who work, and residents who live in these settings-create more resident-centered, resident-directed settings. Whether you're considering new construction, major renovation, or modest changes on a limited budget, call us (440-256-1880) to discuss how our services can meet your needs.

Consulting for Long Term Care Facilities

  • Visioning: We can help you decide if you want a setting that feels like home, like a bed and breakfast, or like an elegant resort with concierge service.
  • Translating Vision to Service: We will lead you through the process to determine how all service functions need to operate to serve the vision.
  • Express the vision: I.D.E.A.S., Inc. can assist you in expressing your vision throughout the new design, from spatial organization of the space to the smallest interior details.
  • Teach staff: We develop and provide staff training for everyone (from the Board to direct care workers) about facility-specific practices on topics such as culture change, dementia care, feeding assistance, dysphagia, and memory disorders.
  • Create an “Owners Manual”: Our team will design an "Owners Manual" for the building, so people know how it should work.
